~~~ Been to middle MIDDLE CLASS maharashtrian marriage with Martin (RYE French student)
as usual once again he is damn bored with the classic group photo ( with the foreigner) and absolutely perplexed by the one more happy ARRANGE MARRIAGE !
" Aai...this arrange marriage system is absurd...crazy...horrible...sad...bad.....
How can you get married without being a girlfriend or boyfriend ?
The only magic of the marriage is love......its madness aai !"
Shoooooooooo....calm down,......but this works in India !

~~~ Frantically searching for my daughters academic and sports school certificates
for her wishful admission in MUMBAI.....
carried away by reading all her school report cards......
.....Nirmika must improve her writing skills...
.....should concentrate on her reading...
.....needs to improve in her English...
.....can do better if she improves her listening...
.....must not neglect maths at all.....................

My dear daughter, you have come a long way in a less than a decade !

भरपूर झाडं असलेला लायब्ररीचा परिसर.....काही झाडं फुलांनी.....काही पानांनी.....तर काही शेंगांनी नव्हाळलेली.....
असंख्य रेशमी पांढर्या म्हातार्या (काटे शेवरीच्या बीया) चौफेर नाचताहेत...बागडताहेत....
हेवा वाटावा अश्या हलक्या-फुलक्या होऊन वाकुल्या दाखवत उडताहेत.....

.....“morning walk" घेत म्हातारं होण्या पेक्षा असं म्हातारं होऊन थुई...थुई....उडणं छान नाही का ?

Today Martin will be back from his very long north INDIA trip....
just called me and candidly asked me to make lots of dal-rice for lunch,
as he is dying to have maharashtrian साधं वरण, भात,तुप, मीठ,लिंबु..... .

~~~ Complete INDIANISATION of Martin.....
...almost touched my feet with happiness for delicious...crunchy...homemade pani puri....(though excessive eating could not allow him to bend )...
.....is extremely thankful for the wonderful dinner.....

एप्रीलची अखेर...प्रचंड तापमान...एकही पान न हलता पिवळ्या-तपकिरी काटॆरी झाडोर्यांमधुन
जिवघेणा उन्हाळा किर्र.. वाजतोय...भरदुपारी आम्ही तिघेजणं दम काढत लेण्या चढतोय..उतरतोय...

कैलास,जैन लेण्या पाहुन (नास्तिक) Vero- Fredi भारावलेत...
Fredi...through out the world people do so much for the religion, but do little for the HUMANITY...
बुधीस्ट चैत्य-विहार मधला फरक मी सांगते आहे...cave no.10 मध्ये बुध्दं...शरणं...गच्छामि...लयीत म्हणुन दाखवुन चैत्याच्या architectureच महत्व सांगत आहे,
स्तुपाला प्रदक्षीणा घालतांना स्तुपा मागुन अंधारातुन मी पुन्हा एकदा घुमणारी प्रार्थना म्हणते.....
vero-fredi अक्षरशः रोमांचीत झालेले...डोळे भरलेले....निशब्द !
उतरत्या सोनेरी सुर्यकिरणांनी उजळलेला बुध्द पुढे...पाठीमागच्या अंधारात भारावलेले हे फ़्रेंच दांपत्य...भांबावलेली मी....
परतल्यावर resort वर Ellora tripचा तपशील माझ्या नवर्याला...
Medha made us cry today.....खरंतर मी आपली duty bound guideगीरी केलेली...
पण उतरत्या उन्हातली चैत्यलेणीमधे मधुरपणे घुमणारी प्रार्थना...शांतता...त्या दोघांना
आतुन ढवळुन गेली...अंतर्मुख करुन गेली.....
Certain things are beyond logic !

~~~ तापलेल्या दिवसाची सुखद संध्याकाळ.....
आकाशात ढग...भिरभिर वारे...पावसाचा शिडकावा...
मातीचा ऊष्ण पण मंद सुवास.....युनिव्हर्सिटीचा परीसर....
Martin बरोबर औरंगाबाद लेण्यां जवळ...छान walk...औरंगाबादचे विहंगम दृश्य.....
...परततांना ३ लांडोरी डोक्यावरुन उडत गेल्या....
मार्ख्ताच्या (Martinचा french उच्चार) मदतीने भरपुर पळस पापड्या ( शेंगा) जमा केल्या...
( बीयांसाठी...पावसाळा...रोपं... हिरण्य!)
त्या बदल्यात त्याने car शिकत चालवली...( and is on the top of the world )

नेहमीच्या शिरस्त्या प्रमाणे परत पाणी-पुरी..DSBP....लस्सी..आणी घरी... !

~~~ लग्नाची गोष्ट.....
ओळ्खीच्यांच्या मुलाच्या लग्नाला...मध्यवर्ति ठीकाण...मागच्या वर्षी याच ठीकाणी त्यांच्याच मुलीच
असंच लग्न झालेलं...
...तशीच गर्दी...बहूतेक तेच लोकं...आमचंही नेहमीचं कोंडाळं...लग्न लागल्या नंतरचा गोंगाटमय pause.....मला गेल्या ४० वर्षांपासुनची मी पाहीलेली लग्न थोडयाफार फरकाने आठवताहेत.....

सुख-सोयी...भरभराट-झगझगाट...रीत-रिवाज...नावाला आणि कुळाला उजळवेल असा धुमधडाका...
ह्या सगळ्यांमधे ३०-४० टक्क्यांचा उंचावलेला फरक...पण बाकी सगळं तेच जुनं.....
जात-पात...फोटो-पत्रीका...रंग-रुप...ऐपत-दानत...पाहुन केलेले तमाम विवाह...
थोडं-फार इकडे-तिकडे....फरक फक्त उन्नीस-बीसचाच !
वरची रंग-रंगोटी थोडी खरवडली की तोच जुना time tested मुखवटा सापडतो...
कुणीच कसं थांबुन..थबकुन...विचार करुन वेगळं पाउल टाकत नाही ?
सहजा सहजी प्रस्थापित सुखाचा रस्ता सोडायची कुणाचीच तयारी नसते बहुदा.....
गव्हावर गहु टाकतात सारे!

पावसात हरवली वाट....
औरंगाबाद चिंब...चिंब....तर हिरवेगार हिरण्य धुवांधार.....

...Once upon my life was so much enveloped by these books and my kids...
today my kids are over grown for these books n dotting mother also ( so far !)

...feeling nostalgic and sentimental by inhaling the decade old memorial smell of these books and the period gone by !

केळी..चिकु..डाळिंब..सफरचंद..मोसंबीचा मधुर वास...
आंबा..नागवेली..बेलाची पानं..नारळ..दुर्वा..केळीच्या खांबांचा ओलसर हिरवा वास..
चंदन..धुप..उदाचा वैदिक दरवळ.....
येणार्या ऊत्सवांची चाहुल देत सहजपणे बालपणात घेऊन गेला.

~~~ Been to Aurangabad railway station to do the reservation for Hydrabad...
having a small get-together cum trip with Art school friends at Hydrabad...
bought my lifes first Railway Time Table...
missing my father..........
" Baba, we all remember you immensely ! "

सदाबहार...सदाफुली....आशा भोसले !
आपल्या मधाळ व वैविध्यपुर्ण आवाजाच्या जादुने अख्ख्या जगाला मंत्रावुन टाकणारी...
चिरतरुण व आशावादी विचारांनी स्वतःचे जीवनगाणे देखील सुंदर करणारी...

ऊचल ती खाली टाकलेली गादी..पलंगावर चादर टाक...उश्या नीट ठेव....ते २-३ टॊवेल्स बाहेर वाळत घाल.....Mobile,laptopचे chargers जागेवर ठेव......त्या बघ पलंगाखालच्या पाण्याच्या बाटल्या...
चिप्सची पाकिटं......भरून ठेव त्या बाटल्या फ्रिज मध्ये......... आटपं लवकर !"
"आई...हि माझी खोली आहे and i am absolutely comfortable with this! आणी हि खालची गादी
मी मुळीच उचलणार नाही...कधीही येउन लोळावसं वाटलं तर गादी खालीचं मस्त !"
" अरे कोणी आलं तर काय म्हणेल हि खोली बघुन?"
"Just latch the room and dont show it to anyone...simple !"
"बरं...बरं, तु माझा मुलगा आहेस हे तरी acknowledge करु ना ?"


~~~ शेवटी आज मी तळलेले मोदक केलेचं !
माझी दोन्ही मुलं आज घरी आहेत...
while doing MODAK I am extremely flooded with my childhood memories...
गुळ-खोबर्या बरोबर आठवणींचे देखील मोदक बांधले गेले.

missing my mother...brother...father.... like anything.
Wish them to be at peace wherever they are !
Dears we all love you and miss you !

~~~ As soon as your kids cross their teenage, they ought to make you outdated
...been to market to buy a new SMART phone ( to replace my DUMB (?) phone)
with my son...very aptly he selected a classy GALAXY GRAND for me,
and in exchange he had a quite an embarrassing experience with dumbest mother.
